It took the U.S. economy just 90 days to go from full employment to the worst jobless rates since the Great Depression. Now come the challenges and opportunities of getting America’s job engines back on course. 

Starting today, LinkedIn will be sharing a new U.S. Recovery Tracker, designed to provide regular insights for both business leaders and individual professionals. We will tap into labor market data that’s unique to LinkedIn’s ecosystem, with 690 million members worldwide and more than 160 million members in the United States.

Key areas of LinkedIn data include member hiring, job postings and worker confidence. Some of these metrics, including the LinkedIn Hiring Rate and the Workforce Confidence Index, are already being reported in weekly editions of this Workforce Insights newsletter.
